This 60mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope uses a catadioptric design to pack a long 830mm focal length into a very short tube. This makes it an excellent choice for adults who have limited storage space or need a highly portable instrument. The compound optical system combines mirrors and lenses to provide high-contrast views of the planets.
The compact nature of this telescope does not compromise its ability to reach high magnifications. It is specifically suited for observing bright objects like the moon and the larger planets in our solar system. The closed-tube design also helps protect the internal mirrors from dust and debris, reducing the need for frequent internal cleaning.
This listing describes a specialized tool for those who value a small footprint. The 60mm aperture is efficient for its size, and the long focal length is achieved through the folded light path typical of the Maksutov design. It is a practical solution for urban stargazers who need to transport their gear to find darker skies.
